As Darebin’s first Greens councillor, I’ve worked with thousands of local residents over the past nine years to make my community safer, fairer and more sustainable. As a parent of two young children, I share my community’s aspirations for a sustainable and efficient transport system, development that meets our needs, quality education and health services for all, and a strong clean-energy economy.
I’ve worked with residents to make our streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians, to ensure development is appropriate and adds value to our community, and to drive initiatives like Darebin’s rooftop solar scheme for pensioners.
I have pushed for greater action to prevent violence against women and as co-founder of the annual Whitelion Bail Out event, I have helped raise $6 million to support youth at risk and in detention. I’m also a comedian, and have been performing around Melbourne since 2007.
